I found a new winter birch tree grouping during this mornings storm, that I really like:) Gnarly older trees with beautiful hues, and nice bordering contrast with the corner evergreens. The falling big flakes of snow adding a little something special.

I was leaving my house for the gallery, when I noticed the storm producing giant snow flakes and little wind....a great combination. I immediately turned the car around, and drove back home for my camera gear. I'v been admiring these birch trees for the past year or so, and walked around them last summer and fall, trying to create a good composition. There were tons of distractions and things around them that were holding me back from creating a strong image....but with snow, today the winter scene is just right:)
