#190202 Moonset over Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Adams

A sunrise shoot on the Presidential Range, with the moon setting, and alpenglow lighting up the summits of Mt. Jefferson and Mt. Adams. Temps were below zero at 4000' and the wind was a constant 40-50mph, with gusts up to 65-70mph. It was all I could do to lean on my tripod with all my weight to keep it stable for taking each image, and also so it didn't get blown away. Even walking, you had to make sure you had each foot planted firmly before the other, or a strong gust could knock you off your feet, if you weren't careful. Facing into the wind to take this shot was brutal....needed all flesh covered, but you can't adjust dials and trigger a shutter with gloves, so the right hand got pretty frost nipped, staying red for the rest of the day. All worth it:)!
